Phil Mickelson started the third round 14 shots back and moved to 17 off the pace with a triple bogey at the opening hole Saturday.
After blowing his drive into the right trees, Mickelson attempted to punch out into the fairway. He swung … and he missed.

His triple-bogey 7 dropped him from 5 to 8 over par for the week.
But, of course, Phil is Phil and for every low there is a high.
Such a high came on the par-5 eighth, when Mickelson hit driver off the deck and reached the green in two. He made eagle and then birdied No. 9 to turn in 1-over 37.
