The last time Tiger Woods played the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he left with the trophy. According to Las Vegas oddsmakers, there’s a good chance we could see that scene play out again this week.
Woods has not played Bay Hill since winning in 2013, but after a surprising T-2 finish at the Valspar Championship he has been installed as a 6/1 favorite ahead of 2016 champ Jason Day, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. Woods has won this tournament a record-tying eight times, including four in a row from 2000-03 and four of the last five times he played, between 2008-13.
The Westgate has also put a number of Woods-specific props relating to his result in this week’s event:
Will Tiger make the cut? Yes -450 (wager $450 to win $100), No +350 (wager $100 to win $350)
Will Tiger finish inside the top 20? Yes -200, No +170
Will Tiger finish inside the top 10? Yes +100, No -120
