Bernd Wiesberger has withdrawn from next week’s Open Championship because of a wrist injury.

Wiesberger was replaced in the field by Andrew Landry, who won the Valero Texas Open in April.

Next up on the alternate list are, in order, Keegan Bradley, Adrian Otaegui and Aaron Wise.

Wiesberger hasn’t played anywhere since late April, plummeting from 39th in the world at the end of last year to 83rd.

“The healing process has not put me into a position where I can train, let alone play, at the level I would like to,” he said in a statement. “Hope to have better news coming soon.”

Landry is coming off a tie for eighth at the Quicken Loans National, his first top-65 finish since his breakthrough in San Antonio.
