Justin Thomas’ bid to defend the PGA Championship is off to a flying start.

The world No. 1 was in St. Louis earlier this week for media day at Bellerive, site of this year’s fourth and final major, and he appears to be getting along with the golf course.

Thomas won his first major title at last year’s PGA at Quail Hollow.

Only one player has successfully defended the PGA Championship in the stroke play era dating back to 1958: Woods, who did it twice, in 1999 and 2000, and in 2006 and 2007.
