After a first-round 66, Jordan Spieth was the overnight leader by two, and it took him just one hole to lose his outright lead Friday.
Spieth sailed his opening drive into the right trees and played five more shots for a double bogey at the first.

Looking to bounce back at the reachable par-5 second, Spieth this time missed to the left and was left to once again punch out. His third shot from 186 yards would find the front of the green, but he’d need three putts from there for his bogey-6.

Stretching back to the 18th hole Thursday, Spieth played a three-hole stretch, Nos. 18-2, in 4 over to drop from 7 under to 3 under par.
