The Race to Dubai winner took a lash with his driver and his ball bounded into one of Albany’s ubquitous native sandy areas that fans have been walking through all week.
The ball skipped and rolled a good distance before finally coming to rest in a deep, sandy hole – like a footprint left by a member of the gallery.
Fleetwood went on to bogey 14 for his second dropped shot in as many holes.
