Phillis Meti didn’t win the Mile High Showdown, but she did set a new world long drive record.

In the semifinals against Sandra Carlborg, Meti carried her drive about 340 yards, where it hit something, possibly a sprinkler head, and bounded another 60-plus yards down the grid.

The drive counted and Meti advanced, but she lost in the finals to Troy Mullins (374-363).
