JERSEY CITY, N.J. – President Donald Trump plans to attend the final day of the Presidents Cup, according to a public schedule released by the White House Sunday morning.
According to the schedule, Trump is expected to leave Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., at 2:20 p.m. ET and arrive at Liberty National Golf Club at 3 p.m. Trump, who was invited by the PGA Tour as an honorary chairman for the event in July, is expected to sit in commissioner Jay Monahan’s suite near the clubhouse upon arrival.
Trump’s arrival would mark the first time a sitting U.S. president came to the tournament since 2000, when President Bill Clinton was on-site at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Northern Virginia.

He is also scheduled to participate in the closing ceremony and trophy presentation on the 18th green, with an estimated departure of 6:15 p.m., en route to the White House.
Trump’s arrival means the biennial matches will be bookended by appearances by former and current chief executives. Former presidents Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama all attended the opening ceremony Thursday and sat adjacent to the first tee for the opening tee shots of the first day’s matches.
The U.S. leads the Presidents Cup, 14 ½ to 3 ½, and needs only one full point out of the 12 remaining singles matches in order to secure the trophy for the seventh straight time.
