Thomas asks Korda: 'Y did u make a 9'

Jessica Korda made six birdies and only one bogey in her opening round at the Blue Bay LPGA. Yet, she only shot 1-under 71.

That’s because Korda made a 9 at the par-5 third.

After her round, Korda tweeted out a screen capture of her scorecard with the caption, “What. A. Round.”

Good friend Justin Thomas, who is no stranger to making a 9, took notice.

Despite the big number, Korda is only six off the first-round lead in China.
