Xander Schauffele captured his third career PGA Tour title on Sunday, winning the WGC-HSBC Champions in a playoff over Tony Finau. He did so by making birdie on his final three holes, including sudden death.

Trailing Finau by one, Schauffele made birdie on the par-3 17th, the most difficult hole on the course.

He then hit this clutch tee shot on the par-5 18th.

Then hit an equally impressive second shot – after Finau had already hit the green in two – to set up a two-putt birdie from off the green.

Back to the 18th tee for the playoff, and back into the fairway for Schauffele, after Finau found a fairway bunker.

Following another perfect tee shot, Schauffele was able to hit the green in two. He then two-putted for birdie, and when Finau failed to match him, won for the first time since the 2017 Tour Championship.
