Equipped with a two-stroke lead heading into the third round, Patrick Reed is officially the new betting favorite to win the 2018 Masters.
Reed started the week as a 40/1 mid-range option, and after an opening-round 69 his odds fell to 20/1. But after surging out in front with a second-round 66, Reed is now a 5/2 favorite to slip into a green jacket according to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.
Marc Leishman is Reed’s closest pursuer, but it’s actually Rory McIlroy who is closest on the odds board. McIlroy is tied for fourth and five shots behind Reed, but he’s listed at 11/2 while Leishman is at 13/2. Jordan Spieth, who opened the week at 10/1 and fell to 2/1 after taking the opening-round lead, is back out to 7/1.
