Scott Parel and Mardy Fish were the winners Sunday in the Diamond Resorts Invitational in Orlando, Fla.
Parel, a member of the PGA Tour Champions, defeated Scott Dunlap on the first hole of their playoff to go wire to wire in the professional division, while tennis pro Fish garnered his second DRI celebrity title, finishing 14 points ahead of Jeremy Roenick in the event, which uses modified Stableford scoring.

Parel had already made eight birdies when he came to the final hole at Tranquilo Golf Club, a 203-yard par 3. He needed only a par to stay ahead of Dunlap, but he missed the green and failed to get up and down, sending the two to their playoff. On the extra hole, Parel got up and down for par, while Dunlap hit his tee shot in the water and made double bogey.
John Daly finished third among professionals, tying Dunlap for the most points scored on Sunday (34). Defending champion Woody Austin finished eighth with 79 points.
This was Parelβs first professional victory since he won the Web.com Tour’s Air Capital Classic in 2013. In 2016, he was co-medalist at PGA Tour Champions Q-School and earned full status for 2017. Last year he finished 21st in the final Charles Schwab Cup standings to remain fully exempt for 2018.
Brooke Henderson had the best finish – seventh – of any of the four LPGA players in the field. The others were Brittany Lincicome, Brittany Lang and Gerina Piller.
In the celebrity field, defending champion Mark Mulder finished third.
