WEST DES MOINES, Iowa – Europe’s Anna Nordqvist might be putting together one of the most memorable Solheim Cup performances in a losing effort.
The Swede is still battling mononucleosis, but it didn’t stop her from going out in back-to-back matches Saturday, and winning them both.
She’s 3-0 for the week.
And she will be up early Sunday to be European captain Annika Sorenstam’s leadoff player in singles.

“Definitely tired down the stretch today,” Nordqvist said. “Had some Diet Cokes to keep me going.”
Nordqvist teamed with England’s Jodi Ewart Shadoff to defeat Lizette Salas and Angel Yin, 4 and 2, in afternoon fourballs.
She teamed with rookie Georgia Hall to defeat Stacy Lewis and Gerina Piller, 2 and 1, in morning foursomes.
Nordqvist is now 11-7-1 in her Solheim career.
