Chez Reavie hasn’t been able to land his first PGA Tour win in nearly a decade, but a pair of close calls have him inching closer to a Ryder Cup berth.
Reavie tied for second at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, one week after losing in a playoff at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The pair of finishes have the veteran all the way up to ninth in the latest U.S. Ryder Cup standings, with the top eight after the PGA Championship qualifying automatically for Paris.
Players will receive one point per dollar earned in regular events this year, with 1.5 points per dollar in majors and two points per dollar for winning a major. Here’s a look at the current U.S. standings:
