AUGUSTA, Ga. – According to the Georgia State Patrol, a tour bus bound for the Masters ran off the road and overturned in the median along Interstate-20 in Columbia County.
The driver of the bus, Steven Hoppenbrouwer, was charged with DUI-drugs, failure to maintain his lane and a seatbelt violation. Hoppenbrouwer, 61, was not injured in the accident.

According to WJBF-TV, five patients were seriously injured and two are in fair condition at Augusta University Medical Center. The station also reported seven other people are either in fair or critical condition at another hospital.
The accident occurred at 8:45 a.m. ET in the eastbound lane of I-20 about 20 miles west of Augusta.
The official accident report has not been completed.
