Jon Rahm will get another crack this week at world No. 1.

With 54 world-ranking points available to the winner of this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Rahm will have a chance to overtake Dustin Johnson for the top spot.

According to Golf Channel’s OWGR guru Alan Robison, Rahm needs to win and Johnson must finish outside the top 45 for a change at the top.

The 23-year-old Spaniard had an opportunity to reach No. 1 at Torrey Pines, but he faded on the weekend after sitting just one shot off the lead after two rounds. There was no mathematical scenario for him last week at Phoenix, but he tied for 11th.

Johnson has held the top spot for the past 51 weeks, since he won at the Genesis Open.
